The Niyamas: Inner Observances
0
The focus is now directed inwards to self-observation. The yamas maintain our involvement with society and the marketplace in a cohesive, well-intentioned manner, while the niyamas cultivate peace within ourselves. The lower five limbs of yamas, niyamas, asana, pranayama and pratyahara condition our innate impulses, enabling us to respond to internal and external stimuli with greater awareness. The qualities outlined in Patañjali’s niyamas cultivate true wisdom to the benefit our true trader.
